My 2 briefed articles for Editorial Illustration from my Art Director

We were asked to create an editorial illustration by the guidance of a friend, the brief given was fast paced and really kept me on my toes. The chosen friend was asked to find an article that best suited our work but was also challenging for us in the sense that it would allow use to engage with a wide range of new idea-generating strategies.
The chosen article given to me was from the 'New York Times', it was about Caribou's disappearing and them being endangered.

After taking some notes, and a short group discussion my Art Director decided to change the article, not only because majority of the class had chosen wildlife.
Although she decided to change my article I still did some thumbnails of ideas that maybe would've been my final illustration for my article.
The idea for the illustrations above was to show that the Caribou are endangered by not only humans but by other species living in their habitat.

The second article I was given was called 'Understand-it hurts':giants of dance reveal its tolls and triumphs, from 'The Guardian.'
