Summary of this module.
Throughout this module we've been given a variety of different projects to create Editorial Illustrations for.
This module for me was challenging and really made me come out of my comfort, on the other hand this wasn't so bad as I learned new techniques and styles for my work in future.
For our first project we were asked to create an illustration from the choosing of 3 different articles, my chosen article was about an argument between Earth and the Economy, my final illustration can be found in the link below.

The next project was to create an Illustration from an article given to us by our Art Director and Illustrator (Nicolas Stevenson.) The brief was to create an illustration to make people aware of birds carrying messages of expression. My final illustration can be found in the link below.

We were asked to create 2 illustrated book covers from the choosing of 2 book covers, (To Kill A Mockingbird and The Secret Life of Adrian Mole, both penguin books.) I chose to do To Kill A Mockingbird, my final book covers are listed in the links below.

One project in particular that I enjoyed doing was being an Art Director and being directed, this was a 2-way task that required constant communication.
The thing I enjoyed the most about this project was that we had the chance to direct someone to an Illustration that we personally wanted (as long as it fits the brief.) I had chosen 2 different articles, as my first one wasn't great but after really getting a good idea of what Illustration I wanted my partner to achieve, I typed up a brief for her, and everything that was required from her through the brief, was put on her illustration.
Another thing I enjoyed was that I was paired with someone who had a completely different art style to me, seeing her work compared to mine then having debates about how we can use our art styles to our advantage.
My final Illustration can be found in the link below.
